COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Columbus Municipal Airport has started construction on new aircraft hangars located near Andrews Street and Middle Road. Airport director Brian Payne says there’s a significant waiting list and they’re looking forward to giving area residents the opportunity to base their aircraft at the airport. The hangars are set to be finished by next summer.
While covering this story yesterday, a Lockheed C-130H Hercules from the 123d Airlift Wing of the Kentucky Air National Guard flew simulated drop exercises over Runway 5.
