COLUMBUS, Ind.–An investigation into the death of a German Shepherd Dog, named “Riley,” has been opened. The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office said yesterday that detectives have begun looking into abuse claims made against the dog’s original owners from Bartholomew County by the owner who recently rescued and cared for the animal. “Riley” died of malnutrition last weekend.
