SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA–With the weekend snow melting and a forecast calling for precipitation that will last for the next few days, the National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued an Areal Flood Watch for Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, and Shelby Counties. An Areal Flood Watch means there is potential for flooding over a large area.
One-to-two inches of rain are expected for the region which is already waterlogged from melted snow. The watch will be in effect until Wednesday morning.
