COLUMBUS, Ind.— (UPDATED) WRTV has updated this story to indicate that the event planned for Columbus has been canceled. President Trump, however, will still be visiting Indiana next Thursday to discuss the recent tax cuts passed by Congress at a rally in South Bend.
(ORIGINAL) Television station WRTV (RTV6) in Indianapolis is reporting that President Donald Trump is planning to visit Columbus next Thursday, May 10. Multiple sources familiar with the president’s plans say that he will be attending a campaign event for Greg Pence, Vice President Mike Pence’s older brother, who is currently running for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in Indiana’s Sixth District.

At this point, there have been no temporary flight restrictions (TFR) filed with the Federal Aviation Administration for the president’s visit. In the past, when Vice President Pence has flown to Columbus Municipal Airport, a TFR has been filed to restrict airspace in the area during the period of time that he was expected to be in the area.
