NASHVILLE, Ind.–The Brown County Office of Emergency Management and Duke Energy are coordinating an upcoming planned service outage that will affect customers in and around Nashville on November 18 and November 19.
Duke Energy says they must replace several power transmission poles along Clay Lick Road, making it necessary to close the road and shut the power off. The planned outage will last for roughly seven hours, from 11 p.m., Sunday, November 18, until 6 a.m., on Monday, November 19.
Officials say there is a plan to continue to provide emergency services during this outage. Anyone with health-related needs such as oxygen or other life support equipment should contact their home health provider about backup power supplies. An emergency shelter will be open during this time.
Affected Duke customers should be receiving additional information by mail, but anyone with questions or concerns can call or email Duke Energy’s transmission project hotline at 800-820-9362 or MidwestTransmission@duke-energy.com.
