FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Blessings Bag Initiative is alive and strong at Creekside Elementary School, where students spent Valentine’s Day stuffing cardboard boxes for the homeless in Johnson County. The kids filled the boxes with over 500 baggies containing shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, socks, water, and snacks. Each of the students penned messages on cards like “Happy Valentine’s Day,” “Smile,” and “Have a Great Day,” for insertion into each bag.
The homeless around Franklin will be receiving their Blessing Bags soon from the Creekside students.
