COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins has earned three distinction honors for its business practices in recent weeks.
Barron’s, a weekly newspaper published by Dow Jones & Company, has designated the power-generation leader a ranking of the 14th Most Sustainable Company in America, up from 60th in 2018. Calvert Research and Management prepared the rankings, based on analysis of the one-thousand largest publicly traded companies in the U.S. It reviewed indicator topics ranging from greenhouse gas emissions to workplace safety and diversity.
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council named Cummins one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises. It is recognized as being one of 60 firms having world-class supplier diversity programs in 2018 that reduced barriers and drove growth for women-owned businesses.
Forbes Magazine and Statista, an online statistics and market research portal, also notified Cummins, on January 15, that the company has been named one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity for 2019.
