NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sherriff’s Office served a felony arrest warrant in Lovett Township on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Upon arrival at the residence, deputies made contact with the intended subject, Jason Farris, 37, of North Vernon. He was wanted in Jennings County for passing out counterfeit bills.
Further investigation led officers to allegedly find numerous prescription and controlled substances, as well as multiple syringes and paraphernalia inside of the residence. The suspect was taken into custody on multiple charges.
Farris was transported to the Jennings County Jail and preliminarily charged with possession of a controlled substance, violation of legend drug acts, possession of a syringe, the outstanding Jennings County warrant for counterfeiting, and possession of paraphernalia.
Officers from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office participating in the arrest were Deputy Drew Heilers, Sgt. Mike Mowery, Deputy Cody Law, and reserve Deputy Chris Gholson.
