COLUMBUS, Ind. – At its Tuesday evening meeting, Columbus City Council approved annexation and rezoning requests by Indianapolis-based R.L. Rynard Development, LLC for a tract of land on the city’s west side.
The land is on the north side of State Road 46, across from the entrance to Tipton Lakes and the Westside Community Church. About 45 acres will be annexed, and 29 of those acres will be rezoned from agriculture/preferred to residential/multi-family.
Rynard Development intends to build 56 independent living units in a duplex arrangement, along with assisted-living and skilled-nursing facilities.
All city departments report that their various services can be provided to the area.
