INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) reminds taxpayers that the 2019 individual tax filing deadline is this Monday, April 15. Federal tax returns are also due at this time.
DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp says there is still plenty of time, “Customers can file electronically to save time and receive a quicker refund if one is due, or they can file a paper return.”
Paper tax returns require a postmarked date of April 15, to be considered on time. Electronic filing can be submitted online any time before April 16, including through the Indiana freefile program (INfreefile).
INfreefile offers qualified individuals, with an adjusted gross income of $66,000 or less in 2018, several options for filing both their state and federal taxes for free. All vendor options and qualifications for INfreefile can be found online at www.freefile.dor.in.gov.
For additional information, customers may call DOR Customer Service at 317-232-2240, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
