NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Decatur Plastics Products, a manufacturer of custom injection-molded plastic parts and components, announced plans on Thursday to expand its operations in Jennings County, creating up to 70 new jobs by 2021.
The North Vernon-based company will invest $11.4 million over the next five years to grow its 87,850-square-foot headquarters and production operations. The expansion will add 100,000 square feet to its campus over two phases of development by summer 2020, and allow Decatur Plastics Products to meet the growing demand for its products and services from customers.
Interested applicants may apply in person at the company’s headquarters, 2350 N. State Highway 7, or email a resume to hr@decaturplastics.com.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Decatur Plastics Products up to $475,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. Until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim the incentives. The city of North Vernon approved additional incentives at the request of the Jennings County Economic Development Commission.
