SEYMOUR, Ind. – The world’s biggest 6K walk for clean water is coming to Springhill Camp in Seymour on the first Saturday in May. World Vision’s annual Global 6K for Water helps deliver clean water to those who don’t have access to it in the developing world.
The average distance people in these countries walk to retrieve water for their families is six kilometers, and that water is often dirty. This annual 6K walk is a way to raise awareness, and provide a clean water source for those in the developing world.
Registration cost is $50, and each participant who signs up provides life-changing clean water to one person for life. Once you register, World Vision sends you a Global 6K for Water t-shirt, a finishers medal, and a race bib with a photo of the child that you’ll be walking or running for that day.
The event begins at 9 a.m., on May 4, with check-in starting at 8 a.m. For more information, visit teamworldvision.org.
