NORTH VERNON, Ind. – After a North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) officer observed a vehicle with one functioning headlight, it led to a drug arrest last Thursday. NVPD pulled over John Jackson, 29, of North Vernon. After his vehicle was searched, police allegedly located 20 grams of methamphetamine, five grams of marijuana, syringes, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and individual plastic baggies.
Jackson was arrested, transported to the Jennings County Jail, and charged with dealing in methamphetamine: more than 10 grams and involving a firearm (Level 2 felony), possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony), possession of a syringe (Level 6 felony), and possession of marijuana.
