COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Board of Works and Public Safety gave a hearty send-off to three ColumBUS Transit employees at its Tuesday morning meeting as the trio prepares to depart Friday for Palm Springs, California.
Drivers Stacy Heagy and Derek Johnson, along with mechanic Greg Noel, will compete in the 2019 Community Transportation Association of America “Roadeo” this Sunday. To qualify, they placed first, second and first respectively at the state level in 2018.
Drivers from around the country will compete for top scores on a course that tests skills on every level of the drivers’ abilities, with a primary focus on safe operations and passenger sensitivity.
