GREENWOOD, Ind. – Center Grove High School recently honored 108 seniors for earning college degrees or certificates through the school’s Early College Program. The strategy allows students to take courses that earn credit toward both high school and college at the same time.
This school year, 41 seniors will receive an associate’s degree in General Studies from Vincennes University, along with their high school diploma. Fifty students will receive a 30-hour General Education Core Certificate, and 17 students earned between 15 and 45 credits.
During the Early College Program in 2018-2019, seniors earned 5,221 college credit hours, which is a savings of approximately $780,000 in college tuition.
