COLUMBUS, Ind. – Dee Amonty Higgins, 26, of Columbus was arrested Thursday morning after Columbus Police Department (CPD) officers stopped him for a minor traffic violation near 10th Street and McClure Road.
After pulling him over, officers discovered that Higgins had a suspended driver’s license, so he was taken into custody. Upon searching his vehicle, police allegedly found syringes and drug paraphernalia. CPD also says heroin and methamphetamine was found inside the suspect’s socks after he was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
Higgins was remanded on preliminary charges of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking with an inmate.
