COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Parks and Recreation Board met Thursday afternoon and approved a bid by Indianapolis-based Henry Smither Roofing for replacing the white coating on top of the rubber membrane on The Commons roof. The bid was for $72,975.
The overall roof has a 30-year warranty, but the owner is required to maintain the coating, which has shown signs of significant wear.
In other business, parks department head Mark Jones said that representatives from MKSK, the design firm selected to develop the master plan for the Fair Oaks Mall and Donner Center properties, were in town for a tour and meeting on Thursday. Design committee meeting dates were established for the rest of the year and MKSK will participate in those.
