SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – Throughout the month of May, the Shelby County Sheriff’s office was able to complete an extra round of patrols thanks to funding from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
The additional patrols were able to help ensure safer driving in Shelby County. Deputies wrote tickets for DUIs, lack of seat belt use, and speeding.
During the month of June, the sheriff’s office plans to continue the extra patrols, keeping a watchful eye out for seat belt usage and impaired driving.
