COLUMBUS, Ind. – Officers from the Columbus Police Department (CPD) made two arrests in response to a disturbance reported outside of a house on Wednesday night. CPD responded to a home in the 700 block of Wilson street at around 11 p.m., and observed Clarissa Johnson, 36, of Columbus, and Timothy Meadows, 39, of Columbus, fighting with each other. Police reported that the house had a broken window, and a concrete block had apparently been thrown through the windshield of a nearby vehicle.
Johnson and Meadows were both placed under arrest, and Johnson requested to be transported to Columbus Regional Health after being seated in a police car. She allegedly tried to break the patrol car’s window, and then while at the hospital, police say she tried removing her handcuffs and kicked two officers before being restrained.
Johnson was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and booked for disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Meadows was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct.
