COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Pontiac G6 was pulled over by the Columbus Police Department (CPD) Thursday night after the vehicle was reportedly seen swerving in the roadway.
Officers spoke with the occupants and were able to determine that the car was improperly registered. Then, after checking the identification number, officers were able to conclude that the vehicle was reported stolen in Jackson County in 2017. The driver, Kyra Anderson, 28, of Columbus was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of auto theft.
On Wednesday of this week, CPD recovered a Camaro that was stolen from Rush County.
