
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Extreme heat is expected across the Hoosier state on Tuesday, and heat index values could rise to the upper 90s in south-central Indiana.
Areas such as Seymour and Bloomington could see heat index values as high as 98, and Indianapolis could see them rise to 97. The National Weather Service recommends that people stay hydrated, take breaks in air conditioned rooms, and never leave children or pets in cars.
The potential for high heat today could prove dangerous, and necessary precautions should be taken.
