NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Authorities at the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) say they arrested two local men for OWIs on Saturday, June 29.
Officers were dispatched to the area of North State Street and FDR Drive after a report of two UTVs driving recklessly in a parking lot. After stopping the them, officers identified Todd Madden, 19, and Dustin Coleman, 24, both of North Vernon, as the drivers of the two vehicles. NVPD allegedly observed signs of impairment on both drivers, and after an investigation the pair was eventually arrested for OWI. Madden was also charged with consumption by a minor.
Maggie Mote, 19, of North Vernon, was a passenger on one of the UTVs, and she was also arrested for minor consumption.
