SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Jackson County Visitor Center Board of Directors recently allocated six developmental grants, totaling $20,000, to area organizations and nonprofits.
The award recipipents were The Jackson County History Center ($1,000 for Ball Museum repairs), Norman Station Conservation Club ($1,000 for club renovation), Jackson County Community Theatre ($3,000 for the second phase of 50th anniversary remodel project), ARC of Jackson County ($3,000 for handicapped accessible playground equipment), Seymour Main Street ($5,000 for completion of downtown bench project), and Seymour Park and Recreation Department ($7,000 for family shelters at Freeman Field Recreation Area).
The Jackson County Visitor Center has two Developmental Grant cycles. The first cycle closed on April 1, and the second one opens August 1 and closes on October 31.
