Applications must be received via online submission by Wednesday, July 10, or they will not be accepted.
Basic eligibility requirements and consideration factors for a Capitol Police Officer include:
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must meet a minimum vision standard
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be high school graduate or have GED
The academy begins on September 16. The starting salary for a Capitol Police Section Probationary Officer is $44,497 a year.
