COLUMBUS, Ind. – After a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) arrested two people on numerous drug charges last week.
On Wednesday, July 3, JNET authorities executed a search warrant at 6770 South County Road 650W, in Bartholomew County, in regards to an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Detectives were allegedly able to locate narcotics and paraphernalia inside the home of Troy Smith, 54, and Kelly Starke, 31. Investigators were inside the home when Smith and Starke returned to their house. When the pair saw the officers, they attempted to flee in their vehicle, but were unsuccessful.
The two were later transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on multiple drug charges.
