COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) heard a presentation of the results of the staff satisfaction survey for the 2018-2019 school year at its Monday evening session. Gina Pleaks, BCSC director of title services and member of the survey committee, said that based on the results of the previous year’s survey, the corporation’s methods of gathering information had undergone clarification and been refined for specificity.
In total, 526 BCSC teachers and administration personnel participated, as did 442 support staff employees.
Reasons for being satisfied that garnered the most positive responses included relationships, the survey participant’s supervisor, benefits, and a safe work environment. Top-ranking reasons for dissatisfaction included pay and stress level.
Pleaks says that the next step is to disseminate the survey results among the 2,000-plus stakeholders impacted by its findings.
