NORTH VERON, Ind. – With high temperatures expected this weekend, and the National Weather Service issuing an excessive heat warning, North Vernon is adjusting its trash pickup schedule.
The city is planning to use two trash trucks on routes on Thursday and Friday of this week. The goal is to get the job done before the heat moves through later in the day. Residents should keep in mind that their trash will be picked up slightly earlier than usual these days. Also, no brush will be picked up during this time. The trash pickup schedule returns to normal on Monday.
