VERNON, Ind. – The Purdue Extension office in Jennings County is hosting “Dining with Diabetes” classes for four weeks beginning Monday, August 5. The program teaches the best ways to manage type 2 diabetes through nutrition and physical activity.
The different sessions share the best ways to eat with type 2 diabetes. The first two-week period covers snacks, appetizers, carbs, sweeteners, and desserts. During the last two weeks, discussions will center on fats, sodium, main dishes, and side dishes.
The cost is $15 per person or $20 for a couple. Participants are asked to make reservations by July 29.
