COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Board of Works and Safety held its weekly meeting Tuesday and decided to approve an interlocal agreement with Bartholomew County for a jail addiction treatment program. The cost of the program is $57,500, but it would be split between the two government entities.
The first step in getting the program running is to hire a coordinator to get to know the jail and start the basic foundation for the program in 2019. The goal is to have the project up and running by 2020.
