COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus police officers arrested a local man on a warrant and drug possession charge after he was first noticed riding a bike Wednesday morning.
Police identified Thomas Childers, 36, of Columbus, near a residence in the 1300 block of Lafayette Avenue. After confirming a warrant for his arrest, he was taken into custody. While he was being searched, officers allegedly found heroin in his clothing.
Childers was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on preliminary charges of possession of heroin and a Marion County warrant.
