BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says lane restrictions will be in place on U.S. 31 in southern Bartholomew County, beginning Monday, July 29, for box culvert replacement and bridge deck overlay projects.
Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. will perform the box culvert work south of County Road 100S, about 8 miles north of the Jackson County line. Both shoulders of U.S. 31 will be closed and a 12-foot width restriction will be in place, with one lane open in each direction.
A bridge deck overlay will also be completed on U.S. 31, just south of State Road 7, over Fishers Fork. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place while contractors work on the bridge.
INDOT says all work is weather dependent and the projects are expected to be finished by November 15.
