INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Six Hoosier livestock producers were honored Monday for going above and beyond in their farm management in the areas of environmental stewardship, animal well-being, biosecurity, emergency planning, and community relations.
They were recognized as the newest members of the Certified Livestock Producer program by Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Bruce Kettler during an awards ceremony at the Indiana State Fair. “These producers are going the extra mile in almost every aspect of their farm management, from ensuring the well-being of their animals to being good stewards of the environment,” Kettler said.
Of the six people who were recognized at the state fairgrounds, two were from Trafalgar. Mitchell and Jennifer Stauffer represent Johnson County on the list of Certified Livestock Producers that were honored.
