COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College recently selected Dr. Jackie Fischer to join the school as the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the Columbus Campus. She brings with her more than 20 years of higher education experience.
“Dr. Fischer is a team builder with a deep understanding of community college and a vision for the future of higher education,” said Dr. Steven Combs, Ivy Tech Columbus chancellor. “She is an outstanding leader with a wealth of experience in collaboration, management, curriculum development, instructional quality improvement, and other critical academic areas.”
Before joining Ivy Tech, she served as Dean of Academic Affairs at Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri. Dr. Fischer was also an assistant academic dean at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, near Terre Haute.
