SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts (SICA) announced the details of its latest exhibit. “Mellencamp: Three Generations of Art,” opens today, Wednesday, October 2, and features paintings from John, Marilyn (mother), and Speck (son).
John Mellencamp may be known for his music but he is also an accomplished painter, a hobby that he started in 1988.
“To have a show of this caliber at our center is another example of John’s passion for art in the area,” said SICA Executive Director Sean Hildreth.
A reception for the Mellencamp exhibit, exclusively for Southern Indiana Center of the Arts members, is planned for Thursday, October 10, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Reservations are required.
