COLUMBUS, Ind. – Our Hospice of South Central Indiana’s presentation of “Broadway Memories” brought Tony Award-Winning Talent to Columbus last Saturday night. The program, produced and hosted by Stephen DeAngelis, spotlighted five Broadway stars straight from New York City performing in a one of a kind fundraising event to support “Music and Memory,” a new research-based program that enhances the lives of patients through music.
“Music has a powerful impact in our lives and helps patients re-connect to memories and emotions believed to be gone,” said Our Hospice President Laura Leonard. “Having this caliber of talent to raise funds is wonderful.”
One of the highlights of the night was local high school students, who had attended a Broadway Master Class in August, taking the stage as backup singers to the stars.
The event raised over $35,000 for Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. The not-for-profit hospice provides care to individuals with a life-limiting condition and their families in 16 local counties.
