COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies were dispatched to Heritage Heights Mobile Home Park, near Taylorsville, on Tuesday regarding a suspicious vehicle. After locating the car, officers made contact with Cody Morris, 27, of Franklin, and determined he had an outstanding Shelby County warrant.
While in the process of taking the suspect into custody, BCSO also allegedly found him to be in illegal possession of narcotics and drug-related materials.
Due to medical issues associated with recent drug use, Morris was taken to Columbus Regional Health to be checked out. After he was cleared by the hospital, he was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
Morris was booked for possession of a controlled substance, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug injection device, and the out of county warrant (failure to appear – auto theft).
