GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a drive-by shooting that occurred Tuesday around 11:30 a.m., in the 500 block of Old Smith Valley Road, in Greenwood. No one was hurt.
The suspect vehicle was described as a tan or beige Toyota Camry, occupied by a white male driver and a white male passenger/alleged shooter.
During the course of the investigation, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office located the operator of the vehicle, a juvenile male. It is not known at this time what involvement, if any, he had in the shooting.
Deputies also learned the name of the suspected shooter, who was identified as Jonah S. Henderson, 18, of Greenwood. He was found at 5:17 p.m., in the Del Char Trailer Park and was taken into custody without incident. Henderson was charged with attempted murder and is being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
Investigators are still trying to determine why the incident occurred. Detectives from several law enforcement agencies continue to interview witnesses.
