COLUMBUS, Ind. – It was a wet high school football Friday in south-central Indiana as area teams played their next-to-last game before the Sectionals get underway in a couple of weeks.
The Columbus East Olympians headed south to Seymour and squeaked by the Owls, 14-7. In a game heard on MOJO 102.9, the Columbus North Bulldogs traveled to Bloomington North and fell to the Panthers, 27-7. Franklin blasted Greenwood, 41-7. Jennings County lost to Jeffersonville, 54-29, while Edinburgh was a winner over Rock Creek, 37-6.
Next week, both Columbus teams play their final regular-season game at home. The Bartholomew County High School game of the week on MOJO 102.9 features Madison at Columbus East with Tom Rust and Jimmy St. John calling the action.
