COLUMBUS, Ind. – Residential loose leaf collection begins this Monday, October 14, in Columbus and continues until December 13. Leaves will be picked up curbside the same day as trash collection, and they must be in place by 7 a.m. The city asks residents to not place leaves in the street so storm drains won’t clog when it rains.
Leaves will not be collected if they are left in bags. If you want to use bags, you need to bring the bagged leaves to the compost site at 720 South Mapleton St., next door to the Columbus Department of Public Works.
