COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) was dispatched to Georgetown Road on Monday in reference to a personal injury accident.
The driver of a truck, Charles Demott, 27, of Columbus, supposedly told deputies he believed he fell asleep and crossed the center line causing the crash. Demott was ejected from his vehicle but suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
The driver of the other car, Crystal Breeden, 36, of Columbus, and two children complained of pain and were transported to Columbus Regional Health. BCSO reports that one of the children apparently suffered a broken arm in the wreck.
