COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Parks and Recreation Board voted Thursday to accept a parcel of land in the Everroad Park area that is being donated by Discount Tire.
The property in question is one of the lots on the ground on which the tire store chain is building a Columbus location on 25th Street, just east of National Road. The lot is on the north or back side of the property, adjacent to land already owned by the parks department. It is being considered for a trailhead for the city’s People Trail system.
The donation has already been approved by the planning department and now heads to the Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety for two readings.
