COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County School Corporation (BCSC) attorney Chris Monroe told the board at its meeting on Thursday evening the city of Columbus had bequeathed a parcel of land, at 2143 23rd St., to the school corporation. The property in question had been acquired by the city through eminent domain.
In other business, School Resource Officers (SRO) Deputy Teancum Clark and Sgt. Julie Quesenbery delivered a presentation on the career satisfaction they derive from being SROs at Mt. Healthy Elementary School, where the meeting was held. Clark said he was a former teacher who became a sheriff’s deputy so he could become an SRO.
Also at the meeting, the 14 recipients of BCSC Foundation innovation grants were recognized by the board. They were selected from among 65 applicants.
