FRANKLIN, Ind. – For the seventh consecutive year, the Franklin Chamber of Commerce has been designated as a Neighborhood Champion, in support of “Small Business Saturday.” It is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Franklin shoppers are encouraged to take part in the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The chamber office has “Shop Small” giveaways, incentives, coupons, information on participating businesses, and refreshments.
“The chamber has hosted this open house for seven years and it has become a family tradition for many. The goal is to encourage shoppers to support small, locally-owned shops, not only on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend but all year long,” said Rosie Chambers, executive director of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
