SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Shelbyville Police Department responded to a scene near the intersection of Noble and Franklin Streets regarding an altercation resulting in serious bodily injury early M0nday morning.
The victim, Delany Drake, was allegedly involved in an altercation with a white male suspect. According to witnesses, the suspect fled the area on foot. Drake was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the altercation.
The incident appears to be isolated, strictly between the suspect and the victim, so authorities believe there is no reason for the public to be fearful.
Police are asking that anyone with information contacts the Shelbyville Police Department.
