INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Greenwood resident Neal Tanner, 46, pled guilty to unemployment insurance fraud in Marion County Superior Court Criminal Division 4, on November 1. Through the use of agency records, an Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) employee began an investigation and determined that Tanner was working and receiving wages while, at the same time, claiming unemployment insurance benefits.
Tanner received four years of probation and has to repay $19,890 to DWD for the benefits fraudulently collected.
