FRANKLIN, Ind. – A wind advisory was issued for south-central Indiana for Wednesday by the National Weather Service (NWS) and the meteorologists were not kidding around. It has caused traffic issues along Interstate 65 and other Hoosier highways.
Because of strong winds, a semi-trailer was blown over near the southbound Franklin exit of I-65, mile marker 90, on Wednesday morning. The right lane was closed for a short period of time.
Authorities at NWS say that some of the wind gusts reached 50 to 60 mph on Wednesday morning and early afternoon.
