COLUMBUS, Ind. – Thrive Alliance and Dementia Friends of South Central Indiana are working with Amazing Joe’s in Columbus to offer special dementia-friendly dining arrangements on Sunday, December 8, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The initiative is the first of an ongoing, once-per-month offer at the eatery. The second Sunday of each month will be set aside for dementia-friendly dining and will offer a special “Forget-Me-Not” menu of certain dishes.
“We are pleased to offer this service to the members of our community who are living with dementia,” said Nick Grams, Managing Partner of Amazing Joe’s in Columbus. “This is one small way we can give something back to our loyal customers who have supported us for many years.”
Sue Lamborn, Outreach and Community Relations Manager at Thrive Alliance, added that Amazing Joe’s is the first restaurant in Indiana to offer special dining hours under the Dementia Friends initiative.
