
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory until 9 p.m. today for most of the state, including Bartholomew, Jackson, Johnson, Jennings, Decatur, Brown, and Shelby Counties in south-central Indiana.
Southwest winds from 20 to 30 mph are expected this morning, with the winds changing to due west this afternoon. Gusts could reach 40 to 50 mph. This means tree limbs could be blown down and any unsecured objects might be blown around. Isolated power outages are also possible. Winds are expected to be the strongest between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
NWS and local law enforcement remind you to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. You are also asked to secure outdoor objects.
