JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies received a report on Tuesday of a two-vehicle personal injury accident in the 12000 block of East U.S. Highway 50, near the Jackson/Jennings County Line.
When officers arrived, they found two cars with severe front end damage and five people that were injured. The driver of a 2019 Ford F-150 truck, Kenneth Miller, 39 of Seymour, was pinned in his vehicle. The Seymour Fire Department extracted him from the truck. The second vehicle involved in the accident was a Ford Ranger, that was driven by a 17-year-old female from North Vernon.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates the Ford Ranger was traveling east on U.S. 50 when it left the south side of the road, overcorrected, drove into the westbound lane of U.S. 50, and then struck Miller’s truck head-on.
Kenneth Miller, Diane Jackson, Jaime Miller, Thomas Jackson, and the 17-year-old female were all taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
