COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to a personal injury crash on Sunday afternoon at State Road 46 and County Road 825E.
When deputies arrived, they found cars driven by Corrine Busemeyer, 21, of Columbus, and Martha Muckerheide, 74, of Greensburg. Busemeyer was briefly trapped inside her vehicle but was freed by the Columbus Fire Department.
A witness supposedly told BCSO that Muckerheide’s car was traveling east and crossed the center line into the westbound lane, striking Busemeyer’s vehicle head-on.
Busemeyer suffered minor injuries to her wrists, arm, and shoulder. Muckerheide was taken to a Greensburg Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
